FPD 50 Inch Smart TV, 4K LED Google TV Finally broke down and bought a new television to replace my ancient Panasonic 42 inch Plasma TV and what a difference it has made in my household. The video gaming has been upped to a new level experience and the viewing of my photography is spectacular. My old plasma tv had developed a 1pixel line that bisected the screen and there was some odd colouration to the old beast that weighs as much as I do. The other night I was watching some 8K videos on Youtube that totally blew me away and I then realized that I had made the correct decision to upgrade. Also my phones, iPhone and Pixel have been integrated into the functionality of the television viewing experience. All my music apps have been uploaded to the tv and with the Dolby Atmos & vision I am truly in visual & aural heaven with surround sound. I have also grown quite fond of Youtube Music watching and listening to my favourite DJs and performers, just hope my neighbours ...
Adoption on NatureServe.org Ghost Tiger Beetle ( Ellipsoptera lepida ) Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Conservation Status: imperiled (N2N3) in Canada (NatureServe) I recently discovered that I can adopt a species on the NatureServe Explorer website and I was able to choose my most prized and favourite little species the Ghost Tiger Beetle . On the site you can choose almost anything under the Adopt a Species initiative and even request a special adoption which is what I did and chose to honour my father with a gift a species. The initiative is probably not on your radar and I wanted to let you know what a wonderful option it is as a gift idea. Just imagine that your favourite species out there can be help and supported through this action. The staff of NatureServe were so helpful and committed during the adoption process and they also featured one of my photographs, the one featured above. I may continue to adopt the ghost because in Canada they are imperiled but ov...
And Other Things Northern Leopard Frog ( Lithobates pipiens ) Baie de les grenouilles, Lac Saint-François National Wildlife Area, Quebec, Canada. Ramsar site no. 361. For my birthday last year I went on an adventure to the Lac Saint-François National Wildlife Area , Quebec, Canada. Here I found frogs at the Baie de les grenouilles , not just a few but a whole lot of the green buggers were jumping around and having a frogger of a time. Northern Leopard Frog ( Lithobates pipiens ) Deep in the Duckweed It was summer time and one of my favourite times to go exploring but the mosquitoes were ou in full force. Damn those buggers and there weren't enough frogs or dragonflies to keep them at bay. But all in all it was a good visit the wildlife reserve. By the water gave a relief to the swarming bugs. In the water channel the much larger frogs could be found and sparse foliage of flowers including both Yellow and Blue Flag Irises. Nice to find some marsh flowers dotting t...
