The American Red Squirrel

Image
One of my Most Favourite Subjects The  American Red Squirrel   ( Tamiasciurus hudsonicus ) has been & shall always be one of my most favourite little critters to photograph . These little darlings of the woods do the most darnedest of things. Sometimes they will give you the perfect pose & other days just show you their tuchus & flop their beautiful tails around. These marvellous little scamps will run circles around you if they are interested to see what you got. These photographs were all taken at  Shirleys Bay, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, part of Ottawa's Greenbelt around the city. The video at the end of this blog was taken of a wee baby who has yet to develop all his fur while he munches on a cherry tomato ... Ohm nom nom ... Cherry tomato !

Some More Selections from my Flickr Site Leaves on the Water : on a very windy Autumn day at the Bill Mason Centre, Dunrobin, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  Taken on October 17, 2020 . I always love to see the colourful  leaves during the fall . These leaves were dancing & moving to the cool wind on the sandy lake. American Red Squirrel ( Tamiasciurus hudsonicus ) at the Jack Pine Trail, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  Taken on May 18, 2019. On the alert.
