Robots ! I have always been fascinated with robots & AI ( artificial intelligence ) and they are some of my favourite characters in film & novels of all time. I remember when I first saw 2001: A Space Odyssey I fell in love with HAL 9000 ( H euristically Programmed AL gorithmic Computer) and his crazy antics & singing of " Daisy Bell " in the end as David Bowman put him to sleep before reaching Jupiter. Blade Runner of 1982, I felt for the synthetic humans known as replicants are bio-engineered by the powerful Tyrell Corporation to work at space colonies . When a fugitive group of advanced replicants led by Roy Batty (Hauer) escapes back to Earth, burnt-out cop Rick Deckard (Ford) reluctantly agrees to hunt them down.
