My Rankings This Week

Another Week of Competitions and Rankings

#1 = American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus)
Bill Mason Centre, Dunrobin, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

My frogs are proving to be my best photographs on the web. I am very fortunate to have a variety of frogs to photograph here in Canada and they are happy to pose for the camera. This week on Photocrowd saw some rankings from Premium Contests that came to fruition and shake up what my popular photos are on the site. I am now in 3,252 position with 155,915 ranking points, up 730 from last week. My two other sites that I participate in are PULSEpx and Viewbug they don't have rankings for my photos and are basically quests and competitions but Viewbug has an awards system where I have acquired 118 awards to date on my photographs that I have uploaded there my Snowshoe Hare photos prove to be most popular. Viewbug Awards

#2 = Ghost Tiger Beetle (Ellipsoptera lepida) Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Conservation Status: imperiled (N2N3) in Canada (NatureServe)

Number 2 isn't surprising seeing that it was the first photograph that was purchased on the GettyImages stock photo site and has been featured on the Encyclopedia of Life as well been published in Government of Ontario nature publications. Both of these photos were Expert Commended by professional judges.

#3 = Honey Mushrooms (Armillaria mellea) Stoney Swamp Trails, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have my mushrooms recognized and placing third this photo was taken with the assistance of a LED mini flashlight which aluminates the details of the fungi. Once again judges found the image to be Expert Commended and positioning in the top 50 % of crowd favourite.

Positions #4 and #5 are captures that have proved to popular on other sites garnering attention of most audiences as a liked photos.

Snowshoe Hare (Lepus americanus) Shirleys Bay, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Northern Green Frog (Lithobates clamitans melanota)
Foley Mountain Conservation Area, Ontario, Canada.

So that's where I am at on the rankings this week for Photocrowd, Northern Green Frog is still my most popular photo ranking for 2024 and it has garnered a Top Class ranking on Viewbug. I will be finding out this Thursday how it has placed in Flickr's Your Best Shot 2024. This will be my most anticipated contest yet seeing how overall this photo placed throughout the photography websites so far. I am so looking forward to see my rankings on Photocrowd do this week hoping to shake up how the photographs fall : Photocrowd Standings
