Most Interesting

 Photos on my Flickr Site

Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus) on the Jack Pine Trail, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

It would seem that the squirrel photos are winning the most interesting standing on my Flickr site. I know that people are very fond of the squirrels that I have photographed especially the Red Squirrels that I seem to find on all my adventures into the wilderness. But the question is what makes a photograph interesting ? I can see most favourite has a quantitative value that measures the favourability of the photographs but who decides on the most interesting ? I will share with you some of the photos and if you would like to comment then please do I am very interested to see what you think and find interesting about these photos selected by my photo site. So here we go with the most interesting photos selected by Flickr.

Eastern Gray Squirrel Black Phase (Sciurus carolinensis) Britannia Conservation Area, Mud Lake, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

A Green Candy from Asia at home macro Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Amethyst Macro Ottawa. Ontario, Canada.

These last two were part of a photo site challenge called FlickrFriday where they present a word and you go photograph the subject the first being Candy and the second being Purple. So these can be somewhat measured for how interesting they are in how the community reacts to the subject in the challenge.

Leaves on the Water at the Bill Mason Centre, Dunrobin, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Now this one I do find interesting just because of this little guy's posture on a hot day at the conservation area.

American Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) Britannia Conservation Area, Mud Lake, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus) Jack Pine Trail, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Conservation Status: imperiled (S2N,S4B) in Ontario, CA (NatureServe)

So that is the top fifteen of most interesting as deemed by Flickr. Like I said most of them are squirrels but there are a few that make you go hmmmmm ? Nice to see number fifteen is an insect surprisingly a Monarch Butterfly I found in the deep woods with very little flora to feed on but close to a marsh, so yes I find this one to be of most interesting just due to location. The one bird photograph is here only because it is the most favourited photo on the site and the rabbit proved to be a very popular shot all over the internet where it went viral when submitted to Project Noah as a spotting and picked up by Frans Der Waal - Public Page on Facebook. But I really scratch my head as to why some of these are selected ? Some are not even quality photos to my standards please comment and tell me what you think I would totally appreciate your views and help me figure out what is interesting in your books.
