Had an Extensive Hike in the Woods the Other Day

The Stoney Swamp Trail System is located in the city of Ottawa's Greenbelt protected lands and is a popular location for outdoor enthusiasts to partake in hiking, biking & just spending time in the woods. There is a network of trails that comprise the swamp complex, they include : Stoney Swamp; Beaver trail, Chipmunk trail; Lime Kiln, Jack Pine & a whole host of other small trails that make up this area of forest located in the city boundaries. There was a wealth of mushroom colonies in the damp woods & I will try not to overpower this blog posting with them.

& lastly my experiments in light with the mushrooms I found on the trails. I have a little mini torch that I use for lighting effects & highlighting photography subjects. On these particular fungi I placed the light at the bottom of the shrooms. But I have heard that above lighting causes a unique effect as well & I will try this in the future if I finally get my tripod out & working.
